Like the Church, have a great reverence for the Gospel. The Church asks us to make the Sign of the Cross on our lips before reading the Gospel, so that our lips may confess it and may be opened to announce it. We sign our foreheads so that our minds may docilely submit to the teachings of the Master. we make the Sign of the Cross on our hearts that our will may be fortified and our hearts inflamed by the examples of Jesus Master.
