A Complete Spirituality
There is a kind of spirituality in which the thought of death predominates; another consists entirely or almost entirely of piety; in another all the emphasis, or almost all, is on the will; in another all is faith. True sanctity, according to Jesus Christ and the authentic saints, lies in the first commandment; love the Lord your God with your whole mind, with whole strength , with your whole heart. the supernatural rests on the natural and builds upon it. The divine method begins with the mind first of all. Man is a rational being. First he understands the good, then he desires it then he wills it. Let us therefore make acts of faith first, then acts of confidence, then acts of love.
